On 28th of May 2025, at the invitation of the Mayor of Gniew, Maciej Czarnecki, the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Professor Jakub Szczepański, took part in a ceremonial session of the Gniew City Council held on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of local self-government in Poland.

During the session, Professor Szczepański spoke about the ongoing collaboration between the Faculty and the Municipality of Gniew. Together with Szymon Kowalski, he presented a three-dimensional model of the town’s historic center.

With deep sorrow, we announce that on May 23, 2025, Pelagia Kopczyńska (née Wojewoda) born on 5th of August 1931,
passed away forever.

A sculptor, painter, and illustrator, she graduated from the Faculty of Interior Art and Sculpture at the State Higher School of Fine Arts (PWSSP) in Poznań, where she was a student of Professor Bazyli Wójtowicz. She received her diploma in sculpture in 1956 from PWSSP in Gdańsk.

The Faculty of Architecture at Gdańsk University of Technology, the City of Gdansk, Stocznia Cesarska Development and the Nadbałtyckie Centrum Kultury Gdańsk – as part of the ENACT 15mC project – cordially invite you to participate in a participatory process aimed at developing a concept for shaping the public space system of Young City (Młode Miasto).

Starting May 25 at 9:00 AM, an open-air exhibition will be on display at Jan Heweliusz Square, presenting the achievements, passions, and interests of selected representatives from six Gdańsk-based universities:
– Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk
– Academy of Physical Education and Sport in Gdańsk
– Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk
– Medical University of Gdańsk
– Gdańsk University of Technology
– University of Gdańsk

We are pleased to announce that in this year’s edition of the competition for the most outstanding engineering diploma project of 2024, the Association of Polish Architects in France (Stowarzyszenie Architektów Polskich we Francji) has awarded the main prize – PRIX SARPFR 2025 to our graduate, Ms. Eng. Arch. Aleksandra Ciżek.

From 8th of May to 10th of May 2025, the European Congress on Rural Renewal and Development was held in Poznań—one of the key events under the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

On May 27, 2025, we will have the honor of hosting representatives from the American University of Beirut (AUB) – one of the leading universities in the Middle East. Our guests will share their unique perspective on landscape-oriented planning and design, presenting approaches rooted in the cultural and environmental context of the Levant region.

This event has become a key part of the university’s calendar of initiatives supporting the professional development of aspiring engineers and architects. The fourth edition of the fair is an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest trends on the labour market and to engage directly with representatives of companies operating in the architecture and construction sectors.

The cooperation between the Faculty of Architecture at Gdańsk University of Technology and the City of Gdynia has been effective for years. One of the outcomes of this collaboration is the co-organization of the international conference "Modernism in Europe – Modernism in Gdynia," which will have its 10^th anniversary on September 18–20 at the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia.

On 11^th of April 2024, educational classes were held at the Faculty of Architecture of Gdańsk University of Technology as part of the “Shaping Spaces” project. We had the pleasure of hosting students from class 3E, with a mathematics and geography profile, from the High School no. 2 in Gdańsk.
