Summary of the Regional Planning Workshops

Regional Planning workshops
On January 29, 2025, Professor Barbara Wikieł – Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, and Professor Karolina Krośnicka – Vice-Dean for Scientific Research at the Faculty of Architecture at Gdańsk University of Technology, took part in the summary of the planning workshop cycle regarding the development vision of the Pomeranian Voivodeship until 2050. The event was organized by the Pomeranian Regional Planning Office at the seat of the Marshal's Office of the Pomeranian Voivodeship in Gdańsk.

Participants in the workshop cycle were students from the Gdańsk University of Technology, Gdańsk Medical University, University of Gdańsk, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Gdynia Maritime University, the University High School in Gdańsk, and the County School Complex No. 2 named after the Heroic Crew of ORP Orzeł in Wejherowo. The student meetings took place at each of the three universities involved in the Union of Universities in Gdańsk named after Daniel Fahrenheit.

At the Faculty of Architecture of Gdańsk University of Technology, the workshops were organized by Professor Karolina Krośnicka together with Professor Magdalena Podwojewska, with the participation of PhD. Anna Golędzinowska and PhD. Miłosz Marciniak. The Faculty of Architecture's contribution to the workshop cycle, which lasted from October 2024, may have a real impact on the development of the Pomeranian Voivodeship until 2050.

The result of the concluded workshop cycle, meetings, and debates is five different visions for the development of Pomerania, which were presented during the summary.
