The academic staff of the Faculty of Architecture Gdańsk Tech is the winners of many architectural competitions and authors of great prestigious projects. Among others, it should be mentioned the building of the European Solidarity Center (Wojciech Targowski, PhD, Eng. Arch., Assoc. Prof., Prof. Antoni Taraszkiewicz, PhD, D.Sc. Eng. Arch., P. Mazur, Eng. Arch.) – first prize in an international competition, or the recently opened building of the Museum of the Second World War (Jacek Droszcz, Eng. Arch., Bazyli Domsta, PhD, Eng. Arch. (other authors: Kwieciński, Arch. Kowalewski, Arch.) – first prize in an international competition.
There should be emphasized the involvement of the academic staff of the Faculty of Architecture in the protection and revalorization of historic buildings of the Gdańsk Tech (Prof. Jan Buczkowski, E. Ratajczyk-Piątkowska, PhD, D.Sc. Eng. Arch., Assoc. Prof., Prof. Antoni Taraszkiewicz, PhD, D.Sc. Eng. Arch., Wiesław Czabański, PhD, Eng. Arch., Jarosław Bąkowski, PhD, Eng. Arch.).
Since 2008, architects from the Faculty have been involved in the process of improving the quality of the University campus space within the framework of the activities undertaken by the team responsible for Spatial Development of the Gdańsk Tech campus headed by Prof. Lucyna Nyka, PhD, D.Sc. Eng. Arch.
