Cooperation between the Faculty of Architecture at Gdańsk University of Technology and the American University of Beirut | The Faculty of Architecture at the Gdańsk University of Technology

Recently, the Faculty of Architecture at Gdańsk University of Technology hosted Dr. Goran Ivo Marinović, architect and engineer, from the American University of Beirut (AUB) – one of the leading universities in the region, ranked 250th in the QS World University Rankings 2024.

The cooperation between our Faculty and AUB is developing within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme with partner countries. As part of this collaboration, in September Assoc. Prof. Dorota Wojtowicz-Jankowska, PhD Eng. Arch., from the Department of Public Utility Architecture (KAUP), completed a research visit to AUB, during which she delivered a lecture entitled “GDAŃSK – Environmental Aspects in Urban Design, City Life and Architects Education.” The event was also attended by our PhD student, MSc Eng. Arch. Bahaa Bou Kafouni.

As part of the ongoing cooperation, in the upcoming summer semester, we expect a group of students from Lebanon to come and complete part of their studies at our Faculty. At the same time, we are pleased to announce that in the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, students from the Faculty of Architecture at Gdańsk University of Technology will take part in a mobility programme at AUB within Erasmus+.
