One Faculty – Many Opportunities

New Development Paths in the Master’s Degree Program in Architecture Starting in the 2025/26 Academic Year
We are introducing new development paths in the Master's degree program in Architecture, specifically in the field of architectural and urban design in the first and second semesters. Environment, Society, and Economy are the foundations of sustainable design and are tied to the most pressing challenges of contemporary architecture and urban planning.

New Development Paths in the Master’s Degree Program in Architecture Starting in the 2025/26 Academic Year

The Environment – Climate & Energy path addresses issues such as: carbon footprint, circular economy, renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, climate change, blue-green infrastructure, and eco-modernization of buildings and housing estates.

The Society – Culture & Quality of Life path covers topics such as: affordable housing, community-building, the 15-minute city, aging society, wellbeing, culture, identity, public spaces, revitalization, and heritage conservation.

The Economy – Transport & Technology path includes issues such as: technical infrastructure, industry, logistics, ports, mobility, public transportation, safety, crisis architecture, smart cities, and energy systems.

The goal of these paths is to allow students to deepen their knowledge and design skills in one selected area. The chosen area will guide the topic of the architectural and urban design project and will be supported by related courses in engineering, computer technologies, and team-based research projects.

The paths correspond to three key areas of concern and address current challenges in contemporary architecture and urbanism, helping students to better understand complex problems and issues.

The development path is chosen in September during registration for the architectural and urban design course in the first semester.
