„Czerwień”: Obrazy exhibition | The Faculty of Architecture at the Gdańsk University of Technology

On April 5, 2025, the exhibition „Czerwień”: Obrazy (eng. “Red”: Paintings) opened at the Dom Zarazy in Oliwa.
It marks the beginning of a new series of group painting exhibitions, each centered around a selected dominant color. The featured artists are primarily members of the group ArchArt Architekci Malują (eng. ArchArt Architects Paint), including Professor Jacek Krenz from our Faculty. The opening was enhanced by a short concert and a recital of "colorful" poetic works. Jacek Krenz read poems from Oko abstrakcji (eng.The Eye of Abstraction) written by his wife, Katarzyna. The Krenzes share and merge their creative pursuits, presenting their work together in exhibitions. They also published a co-authored series of poetry volumes.

Professor Krenz’s artistic work and his engagement in the arts - as not only a member of ArchArt Architects Paint, but also the founder of the informal group Urban Sketchers Gdańsk and co-founder of the Stowarzyszenia Akwarelistów Polskich (eng. Polish Watercolourists Association)  - reflect a multifaceted approach characteristic of his efforts to integrate architecture and art in both his design and educational practices.

The exhibition will be available until May 8, 2025 (closing event at 6:00 PM). Admission is free.
