Zawód na A - summary | The Faculty of Architecture at the Gdańsk University of Technology

On December 18-19, we had the pleasure of hosting the "Zawód na A" team at our Faculty.

The goal of the meetings was to collaboratively develop solutions for the problems related to the mental health condition of students at the Faculty of Architecture and to recommend changes aimed at improving the student experience at the Faculty of Architecture, Gdańsk University of Technology.

Day 1 - Presentation of the Research Results on the Mental Health Condition of Architecture Students

During the meeting, we got acquainted with a survey conducted by third-semester students after their first year of studies, as well as the report from Zawód na A – research on the mental health condition within the architecture environment. This was followed by the results of research on the reasons why architecture students decide to drop out before completing their studies, presented by Prof. Joanna Mytnik from the Centre for Modern Education at Gdańsk University of Technology. The session also allowed time for open discussion and questions to the creators of the research.

Day 2: Creative Workshops

Thursday's workshops were a time for intensive collaboration and the exchange of ideas between students and faculty members.

These workshops were organized by our Faculty and led by invited guests representing Zawód na A. Faculty members from the Faculty of Architecture, together with students, collaboratively developed valuable recommendations considering the needs of all participants in the educational process, which have the potential to significantly improve the student experience at our Faculty.

The gathered ideas will be further developed, and the outcomes of the workshops will serve as an important contribution to the team formed at the Faculty of Architecture, Gdańsk University of Technology, in October 2024. This team will work on improving the curriculum and the quality of education at WA PG.
