IV Natural Building Festival

Natural Building Festival
From November 15-17, Gdańsk will become the center of natural construction. This year's edition focuses on the topic of the Earth, not only as a planet but also as a material that can be used in the construction process. The goal is to search for answers to the question: "How to build with care for the Earth?"

For three days, Gdańsk will be a place full of inspiration, lectures, workshops, and exhibitions, presenting the latest materials and techniques in natural building. The festival will be held at a prestigious location – the Great Armory at the Academy of Fine Arts, which is a partner of the event.

The Natural Building Festival regularly gathers enthusiasts, investors, researchers, designers, and contractors involved in natural construction. It is organized by the Polish Association of Natural Building (OSBN) and takes place every two years. The main mission of the festival is to promote building with natural materials such as clay, wood, straw, lime, and hemp. The program includes a series of lectures, workshops, and a rich exhibition space, providing a platform for meetings, knowledge exchange, experiences, and discovering the latest innovations in this field. Discussions on the construction industry in the face of the climate crisis will include specialists in sociology, anthropology, and the psychological and social context.

This year’s special guest will be Ken De Cooman – architect and innovator in circular construction, co-founder of the BC Materials brand, and an expert in rammed earth technology. This is a unique opportunity to attend his lecture and participate in workshops.

More information about the event can be found on the Festival's website.
