The competition for the Minister of Development and Technology resolved

The competition for the Minister of Development and Technology
The competition for the Minister of Development and Technology Award, announced in 2023, has been resolved. The competition concerned the best diploma theses, doctoral dissertations, and publications in the fields of architecture and construction, urban planning and spatial management, as well as housing.

Among the awarded were students and academic staff from our Faculty.

Awards in the category of master’s theses was granted to:

  • MSc. Eng. Architect Natalia Pawelec for her thesis "Bywalnik as a key element of the strategy for preventing the departure of young people and the marginalization of the city of Kalisz," supervisor: Dr. Eng. Architect Łukasz Pancewicz.
  • MSc. Eng. Architect Paulina Kwiatkowska for her thesis "The influence of water on human well-being. Adaptation of the heritage complex near the Kamienna Lock in Gdańsk," supervisor: Dr. Eng. Architect Monika Arczyńska.
  • MSc. Eng. Aleksander Rutkowski for his thesis "Concept of the reconstruction of Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski Route on the viaduct section," supervisor: Dr. Eng. Anna Banaś.
  • MSc. Architect Magdalena Czopka for her thesis "Modular system of centers for children with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities," supervisor: Dr. Eng. Architect Małgorzata Skrzypek-Łachińska.

Award in the category of doctoral dissertations was granted to:

  • Dr. Eng. Architect Oskar Amiri for his dissertation "Classical urban patterns in 'temporary cities' on the example of scout jamboree gatherings," supervisor: Dr. Hab. Małgorzata Dymnicka, Prof. PG, Prof. Dr. Hab. Eng. Architect Piotr Lorens.

Award in the category of publications was granted to:

The team of the Initiative City Association: Dr. Eng. Architect Piotr Czyż – consortium coordinator, MSc. Iga Perzyna, MSc. Mateusz Sylwestrzak for the publication "Strategy for the regeneration of markets using the method of social entrepreneurship catalyst, brand repositioning, and placemaking as a tool for local development policy," scientific editor Prof. Dr. Hab. Eng. Architect Piotr Lorens.
