On June 17 and 18, 2024, the Faculty Doctoral Reporting Session took place at the Faculty of Architecture of Gdańsk University of Technology. The event gathered doctoral students from the Doctoral School as well as from the discontinued Doctoral Studies at the Faculty of Architecture. Promoters, professors from the Faculty of Architecture, Deans, and invited guests from abroad participated in the session.

The purpose of the meeting was for doctoral students from Poland and abroad to present the main methodological assumptions of their doctoral dissertations, the progress made in their research, and to receive feedback, comments, or suggestions from promoters and other members of the academic community during 15-minute presentations.

This was also the last doctoral session organized by Prof. Małgorzata Dymnicka, who has been the head of Doctoral Studies at the Faculty of Architecture since 2016 and a representative of the AiU discipline in the Doctoral School Council. Our colleague, after 43 years of work at Gdańsk University of Technology, is retiring. Her contribution to the organization of Doctoral Studies at the Faculty of Architecture and the scientific development of many doctoral students is invaluable.

Special guests of the event were Prof. Cláudia Naves David Amorim from Universidade de Brasília on the first day of the session, and Prof. Zenon J. Pudłowski along with his wife Dorota Pudłowska from the World Institute for Engineering and Technology Education (WIETE) on the second day, who graced the session with their presence and activity.

The Faculty Doctoral Reporting Session highlighted the importance of improving research work through the exchange of knowledge and experiences, developing skills in scientific communication, solidifying scientific standards, and ensuring support from the academic community.

We thank all participants and wish them continued success!
