We are delighted to announce that students from the Faculty of Architecture at Gdansk University of Technology have once again achieved notable success in the architectural competition organized by the Polish Lighting Industry Association in cooperation with the organizer of the 31st International Light Fair and the Silesian architectural community.

In this year's competition, dedicated to the theme of Coworking Space, our students' submissions stood out among the entries. The competition jury selected four works that best interpreted the theme, demonstrating innovation and coherence in functional and formal solutions.

The second prize was awarded to the project titled "Green Flow", authored by Dominika Mirkowicz, Agata Nowicka, and Michalina Piotrowska. This project was recognized for creating an exceptionally vibrant and diverse coworking interior filled with light and greenery.

A distinction was also awarded to the project "On the Waves of Mind", created by Aleksandra Kotkiewicz, Martyna Nowicka, and Alicja Pszenna. This project captivated the jury with its unique attempt to design a coworking space using curvilinear geometry to form a dynamic office "landscape."

The competition results were announced and the awards presented during the 31st International Lighting Equipment Fair on February 1, 2024, in Warsaw. The event was accompanied by an exhibition of the competition works.

The awarded projects were developed during an experimental elective seminar conducted in English by Dr. Eng. Arch. Karolina Zielińska-Dąbkowska and Dr. Eng. Arch. Marek Gawdzik, under the theme "Coworking space - creative contest for architects and designers."

More information about the competition can be found on the Coworking Space webpage.

We warmly congratulate all the winners and wish them continued success!
