The Department of Technical Fundamentals of Architectural Design conducts classes for first and second degree students. The purpose is to provide students with knowledge of important technical aspects of architectural structures. Understanding the importance of decisions made by architects regarding the application of a particular building material and type of construction is crucial for future architects. Working with professionals from different disciplines requires a basic awareness of issues in all aspects and stages of the design process. Subjects offered to students enable them to gain such knowledge. Faculty members are practitioners and experts specializing in a wide variety of design issues. As part of their teaching activities, they also conduct engineering and master's diplomas. In the Department of Technical Foundations of Architectural Design, the process of architectural creation is based on a solid basis of the most up-to-date knowledge of legal acts as well as structural and technical solutions. As a result, the projects are embedded in the realities of the architect's work, and their completion gives students not only a graduation diploma, but also the best possible preparation for future professional practice.
