Welcome Meeting for newcomers

 

GUT International Relations Office invites new international students to the Welcome Meeting (Monday, February 24th,10 am, Nanotechnology B).

 

Over 100 new international students will soon start their studies at Gdańsk University of Technology. Especially for them GUT International Relations Office organizes dedicated Welcome Meeting.

-Starting studies abroad, at new university it’s not always easy. We do our best to support our new students and help to find themselves in a new situation. Welcome Meeting works as ice breaker – it givesa chance to students to meet GUT staff and at the same time helps students toestablish first friendships – says Anna Modrzejewska, Head of GUT International Relations Office.

During the meeting studentslearn more about how university is organised, where can they deal with students issues like students cards, dormitories, traineeships and many other. They also meet with students from Erasmus Students Network Gdańsk (ESN) who make a short presentation about ESN activities and how they support newcomers.

After official part of the meeting students will be invited to take part in integration game – the best team will be awarded.
